  James Wright, director of pastoral care at Baptist Health Paducah, has been working with Liberty University School of Divinity in Lynchburg, Va., to develop a new healthcare chaplaincy program.

  For 20 years, Baptist Health Line, the area's only RN call center, has provided free health information to callers. The free, 24-hour telephone hotline took its first call on April 1, 1996. The number is 270.575.2918 for general health information.

• March 31, 2016 Baptist Health Richmond RAAC launch arts and healing partnership

  Baptist Health Richmond and the Richmond Area Arts Council (RAAC) have entered into a partnership to bring more local artwork to the hospital. The RAAC will facilitate the purchase and installation of works of art from regional artists to continue to enhance the healing environment at the hospital.

  Former Kentucky Gov. Martha Layne Collins is the new Foundation Executive-in-Residence at Baptist Health Paducah and Baptist Health Foundation Paducah. She participates in community initiatives and events supporting the hospital's mission and contributes to development activities, including donor relationships and partnerships.

• March 25, 2016 Baptist Health announces opening of Wound Care center

  Baptist Health Wound Care center has opened at Baptist Health Paducah to bring state-of-the-art treatment for chronic wounds.

• March 24, 2016 Project Fit America program awarded to Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary

  Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary School will receive a $16,000 grant from Baptist Health Paducah this fall to launch Project Fit America, a fitness program aimed at reducing childhood obesity.

• March 23, 2016 National All Star Teacher of Year Award goes to Longest Elementary teacher

  Project Fit America and Baptist Health Madisonville are pleased to announce Physical Education teacher Anne McGill of Longest Elementary School in Greenville as one of three teachers selected for the 2015 National All Star Teacher of the Year award.

• March 23, 2016 Baptist Health partners with Caldwell Medical Center for speech services

  Speech services will now be provided in Caldwell County by Baptist Health Madisonville as a result of another partnership between the hospital and Caldwell Medical Center.

• March 23, 2016 Baptist Health Madisonville receives Blue Distinction Center designation

  Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has recognized five Baptist Health affiliated hospitals -- including Baptist Health Madisonville -- for quality and cost-efficiency by designating each as a Blue Distinction Center or Blue Distinction Center for certain areas of specialty care.
